Intel and Netscape buy into Red Hat
- Ziff Davis reports that Intel and Netscape have invested in Red Hat Software,
purchasing a minority stake, along with two venture capital firms.
The investment community is starting to notice Linux. This is very good news -
it means even more free software will be developed and more hardware will be
supported. As a community, we'll have to remain vigilant to ensure that our
core values do not get diluted by the new interests.
