Patch your programs to use Mozilla engine instead of IE engine
There are plenty of programs out there which use IE engine, most notably
browser front-ends like MyIE, Avantbrowser and others. Of course they
should all be using Mozilla engine (Gecko) instead :-P
Therefore we have to patch those severely faulty programs. Fortunately
there is a handy tool that does just that.
Get IEPatcher.exe from this server
Get IEPatcher.zip from original website
In order for patched program to be able to use Mozilla you have to
install Mozilla ActiveX control. More info about it here: http://www.
iol.ie/~locka/mozilla/control.htm (read it!). Fortunately it alredy
comes with win32 Mozilla builds.
Install Mozilla
Open a DOS prompt, change to your Mozilla bin directory (e.g. "cd c:
\mozilla\bin")
Type "regsvr32 mozctlx.dll"
Now you should be able to use Mozilla from your application(s), you
may try to patch existing programs. I patched MyIE2 0.8.22 and it
works mostly flawlessly (refresh bug):

If IEPatcher is unable to patch file it might be packed. You might
want to try unpacking it with UPX (upx -d app.exe), download it from
this site or from original site.
dummy disclaimer: don't try to patch IE itself (but hey, it's your own
foot you're shooting).
Not all programs will work after being patched (AvantBrowser failed
for me) but then again its not big loss, nothing beats the real deal
or real deal light anyway.
However, MyIE2 and Sleipnir (unpack Sleipnir.exe first with upx) worked.
MyIE2 had slight refresh problem when opening new tab but Sleipnir
worked nice.
