Frequently Asked Questions
SoftICE displays numerous load notifications and system messages in
its command window. Can I configure SoftICE so these messages will not
be displayed?
This feature can be toggled on and off one of two ways. One, setting
the VERBOSE internal variable in SoftICE. You can set this, and any other
internal variable, with the SET command. The syntax would be: SET
VERBOSE OFF. This would be typed at the SoftICE command prompt. Two,
Use the Loader32 utility to have the configuration saved. This can be
done in the Edit|SoftICE Initialization Settings menu item. Deselect
the check box entitled "Display Diagnostic Messages".
